How Do I Edit Meta Descriptions in BIE?

This function will allow you to set the meta descriptions of products through template based editing, or by generating meta descriptions using AI. Meta descriptions can help search engines find your products, which will allow them to show your products to customers that search for related terms.

Template Based Editing

Template based editing allows you to add variables to the meta description, which will be auto filled using the products corresponding field. For example, if I wanted the meta description to have the product title, followed by the store name, you could use the template [product_title]-[shop_name] to do so.

You can also set the max length of the meta description. If the meta description would exceed this length, the text will be truncated at the end of the more recent word. We recommend having a max length between 160 to 320 characters for maximum SEO.

Find and Replace

You can also use the app to find and replace certain text with another in the app. For example, if I wanted to replace the text "a great product" with "an amazing product", you could use the following settings to do so:

Generate Meta Descriptions with AI

You can also generate meta descriptions using AI. The AI will analyze the product image, title, and description to create a SEO friendly meta description for your products. The language of the meta description will be auto detected from these fields as well.

If you have any special requirements for your meta description, such as having the meta description in a specific language, you can use the custom options to add specific instructions for the AI as well.
